Therapy 5 & Five Therapy
Therapy 5 in Ranst might be the very first therapy atelier in Belgium based on Mongolian traditional five therapy alternative medicine. Five therapy practice and theory are important parts of Traditional Mongolian medicine (TMM). It forms an essential part of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with its own unique and profound theoretical system, processing technologies, and herbs usage procedures. TMM has the characteristics of being “raw, simple, inexpensive, and green”. Five Therapy theory is based on the human anatomical structure and the distinct local culture. It has been practiced for centuries and proved to be very effective in the treatment of age-related diseases, including the musculoskeletal and nervous diseases. Five Therapy has shown significant beneficial effects.
Cupping Therapy
It’s an ancient therapy that left multiple circular discolorations on skin. Cupping is supposed to draw fluid into the area; the discoloration is due to broken blood vessels just beneath the skin, much like a bruise. This kind of bruise looking will be gone within 3 days normally, and there is no pain or aches.
During "dry cupping," suction is applied to the skin for several minutes; "Wet cupping" is similar except that blood is removed by making small cuts in the skin. Besides, there are other different cupping ways. such as Walk Cupping, Flash Cupping, and Cupping with acupuncture, etc..
